Research Interests
Dr. Zhang has been devoted in studies of marine biology and ecology and the interdisciplinary studies. His research interests include marine biodiversity and smart perception of marine ecosystems. He contributed to the development of molluscan ecophysiology and eco-modelling and rehabilitation ecology of seagrass bed, exclusively studied the coastal ecosystems of China and typical processes, and revealed the long term trend of variation of the modern Yellow Sea ecosystem. Dr. Zhang is actively introducing modern technologies into studies of marine endangered animals in the Southeast Asia. He is promoting international and regional cooperation of joint observation and study in the tropical seas. Dr. Zhang has more than 150 publications in domestic and international peer-reviewed academic journals and book/chapters.
