Hopefully, this visit will further promote in-depth cooperation of the two parties in related fields.
Mr. Worby expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the warm reception of FIO, and introduced the structure of CSRIO, the research progress of various disciplines and the situation of international cooperation. He pointed out that there is a broad prospect for cooperation between FIO and CMAR in ocean models, blue economy and other fields and it is expected that the two sides will carry out more in-depth cooperation in the future.
On the colloquium, FIO and CMAR carried out academic exchanges centered on blue economy, ocean and climate models, ocean observation technology, marine biodiversity and environmental protection, and conducted in-depth discussions on the establishment of a marine economy joint research center and the cooperation mechanisms.
CSRIO is the large scientific research institute in Australia and one of the largest comprehensive research institutes in the world. Affiliated to CSRIO, CMAR mainly researches marine and atmospheric environmental forecasting, environmental safety and emergency response, and blue economy.
