Local time, 16:00 August 30, 2019 (Beijing time, 12:00 August 30, 2019) China's team for the 10th Arctic Expedition entered the Arctic Circle by "Xiangyanghong 01" research vessel, and it is the vessel's first visit to the Arctic Circle.

Since its departure from Qingdao on August 10, China's 10th Arctic Expedition has been under the continuous influence of typhoons and cyclones. Under the leadership of the temporary cruise Party committee, the expedition team made scientific decisions and reasonable arrangements to overcome adverse sea conditions, and ensure the safe and smooth progress of the survey mission. The expedition team carried out underway measurement and sample collection, surveyed dozens of stations, and carried out the recovery and deployment of the submerged buoy observation system as planned.

After entering the Arctic Circle, the expedition carried out various research missions in Chukchi Sea, Chukchi Plateau, Beaufort Sea and the Canada Basin as planned.
