On August 10, 2019, "Xiangyanghong 01" research vessel departs from Qingdao for the 10th Arctic expedition. It is expected to return to Qingdao on September 30, 2019 after the 50-day expedition. Before the departure, Qin Weijia, Director of the Chinese Arctic and Antarctic Administration of the State Oceanic Administration, Ministry of Natural Resources, presented the flag to the cruise. The expedition was executed by the First Institute of Oceanography of the Ministry of Natural Resources (FIO, MNR). It led the representatives of various participating organizations, expedition members, crew members and some family members to take part in the sailing activity.
