CAST Congratulates Researcher Qiao Fangli on His Election as Chairman of UNESCO-IOC/WESTPAC

On May 21, 2021, Huai Jinpeng, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group, Executive Vice Chairman and First Secretary of the Secretariat of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), sent a letter to congratulate researcher Qiao Fangli on his election as the Chairman of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission Sub-Commission for the Western Pacific (UNESCO-IOC/WESTPAC), and said that the election illustrates the high recognition of international counterparts and reflects the improvement of China's influence and voice in this field.
